Who We Are

We are a group of people that welcome anyone who wants to know Christ better and serve others in the process. We love helping others!

If you’re not currently a member of a church or traveling in the area, we’d like to invite you to join us!

We are a non-denominational, independent Christian Church.  The Bible is our standard of Faith and practice. It is the final authority in our teaching and guide to holy Living.  It is our daily aim as members of the body of Christ to conform ourselves to the image of our Lord. He is our king, master, Lord, and Savior.  We desire to shine Christ’s light in a dark and broken world. We accept the rejected, touch the untouchable, and love the unloveable. We believe there is no color, class, cast, or creed that is outside the reach of God’s transforming love.  Our commission is to preach the transforming gospel to all the world. As a body of believers we never stop being transformed by the words of Christ. We desire daily to be transformed from sinners to saints.

What We Do

— Traditional Values

Sunday service is designed to glorify God and encourage others through singing great hymns and songs of the faith, hearing biblical preaching from the Word of God, communion weekly.  Weekly Bible studies help us go deeper in our walk with Christ.

— Caring Community

Sharing our faith in concern for others both in spiritual encouragement and practical ways.  Our community feels like family or a group of close friends that come to care for others.

— Supporting Others

We tithe 10% of our weekly giving to support the work of other believers sharing the Good News of Jesus!  We currently support Take the Challenge, Christ for Jamaica, Good News Productions and Samaritans Purse.

— Special Events

Potluck dinners, craft/work days, weekend seminars, holiday parties, movie nights, and more!  CWF hosts a Spring Fundraiser and Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser in the Fall. We love getting together and sharing our lives with each other!

— Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF)

Monthly meetings during the school year on Tuesdays @ 11am.  Bring a lunch and join us for Bible Study, a short business meeting and fellowship.  We host 3 fundraising events throughout the year where 100% of funds raised goes to local charities in Stone County.

— Prayer Quilt Ministry

Several of our congregation share their love for quilting and pray over all they make to share with those that are undergoing medical procedures, as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress, or during an illness or recovery.

Faith Stories

How we started

In 1980, a group of people wanted a Christian church closer to their home in this area.  The group started in a rented store on Hwy 86, and later rented a church building in the area close to Blue Eye. Shortly thereafter, Pines Community Christian Church was official and a part-time minister was added to solidify their congregation.

As the congregation grew, a building fund was started and on August 22, 1982 ground was broken for a new building! It was a combined effort of skill, dedicated workers and a commitment to build a place of worship to the glory of the Lord! More than 40 years later, we still exist to help others know Christ and grow in their knowledge and understanding of the scriptures.

A Brighter Future — For All

We gather on Wednesdays and Sundays to praise God, learn from one another and God’s Word. Our hope is to bring about the kingdom of God in a practical way in our daily walk with Him.  We hope you will visit us. You will find a warm and loving group of people, that are ready to welcome you into our family just as you are. Come join us!
